Community engagement: Tower Hamlets Community Network fun day
As part of our commitment to inspiring local families and improving access to STEAM careers, the 17CC team delivered a day-long programme of hands-on activities at the Tower Hamlets Community Network fun day.
Families took part in:
- DNA helix bracelet making
- Fingerprint analysis workshops
- Life sciences demonstrations tailored for young learners
The event was a brilliant opportunity to spark curiosity, meet local residents and share how life sciences are shaping the future of Canary Wharf.

Over the coming months, we will be undertaking a comprehensive and transparent three stage consultation programme, reviewing all feedback received throughout, and where possible, incorporating this into the final proposals prior to submitting an application to Winchester City Council.
